Aftermarket Wheels

Many of the rims being installed by automobile owners are aftermarket or replica wheels. This means that they are not manufactured by the manufacturer or made specifically for that vehicle.

Aluminum is often used as an alloy and mixed with non-ferrous materials such as magnesium to strengthen it. Aftermarket wheels can vary in the quality of the aluminum and aluminum compounds used as well as the manufacturing process.
